Elmo and Baby David can't get to sleep - they just want to play! Good thing their friend Mr. Andy from Headspace is here with another Sesame Street Monster Meditation. Get ready for bedtime by saying goodnight to the different parts of your body!

Sesame Street Monster Meditation #2: Goodnight Body with Elmo and Headspace

 

[Elmo]

Oh, Babay David, Elmo has to go to sleep but Elmo's not sleepy.

Elmo just wants to play.

What's that, Baby David?

You wanna hear another badtime story? 

Okay ~ Once upon a time ~ 

 

[Andy]

There was a monster who couldn't fall asleep

Hello, Elmo!

 

[Elmo]

Oh, it's Elmo's freind, Mr, Andy!

Hi, Mr. Andy!

Oh, say hi, Baby David.

 

[Anday]

Isn't it time for bad, Elmo?

 

[Elmo]

Yeah, it's Elmo's badtime. 

But, but, but Elmo is having trouble falling asleep. 

Elmo wants to play!

 

[Andy]

Yeah, sometimes it's hard to go to sleep when we still want to play, and have lots of energy in our bodies. 

So, how about we do a fun monster meditation, Elmo?

To calm down for bed? 

 

[Elmo]

A monster meditation?

 

[Andy]

It's an activity to help you get ready for bed. 

 

[Elmo]

Yeah!

Oh, you and bany David can follow along too. 

 

[Andy]

So, let's begin with some sooting belly breaths.

Take a slow, deep breath in. 

And now slowly breathe out. 

Very good. 

Let's do that one more time, together. 

So, slow, deep breath in. 

And slowly breathe out. 

 

[Elmo]

Good work, baby, David. 

 

[Andy]

Let's play Goodnight Body.

So, we're gonna start with our feet, and say goodnight to each body part. 

 

[Elmo]

Elmo's going to say goodnight to his body?

 

[Andy]

That's right. And we're goona wiggle each part as we say goodnight and then relax it. 

Wanna try it together?

 

[Elmo] 

Yeah!

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle!

 

[Andy]

Great wiggling, Elmo. 

We'll do this through the whole body. 

Here we go. 

 

[Elmo]

Okay. 

Goodnight, feet. 

 

[Andy]

Very, good. 

Now, relax your feet, and let's move to your legs. 

 

[Elmo]

Goodnight, legs. 

 

[Andy]

Now relax your legs. 

What body part comes next, Elmo?

 

[Elmo]

Goodnight, bottom!

Goodnight, tummy!

Goodnight shoulders!

Goodnight, arms. 

 

[Andy]

Are you starting to feel relaxed?

 

[Elmo]

Yeah, Elmo feels really relaxed.

Goodnight, hands. 

 

[Andy]

You did it, Elmo. 

Now, let's end with one more deep breath. 

Slowly breath in. 

And slowly breathe out. 

Great work. 

Are you feeling sleepy, Elmo?

Elmo?

Oh, goodnight, Elmo. 

Sweet dreams. 

And goodnight, Bady David.
